The Training & Development Coordinator shall, develop, implement, and continually improve
the KMM corporate training program as appropriate to KMM needs. To achieve success the
KMM Training & Development Coordinator will:
1. Ensure that all KMM training plans determine the necessary competence for personnel
performing work effecting conformity to the product.
2. Ensure that where formal training is not available, other effective actions are taken to
achieve the necessary competence, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken.
3. Ensure that personnel being trained at all levels are aware of the relevance and
importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality
objectives
4. Maintain appropriate records of education, training, skills, and experience per KMM's
documented procedures and AS9100C requirements.
5. Be responsible for developing, coordinating and when necessary, conducting training for
employees in all departments throughout each KMM location
6. Perform complex work in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing
company- wide training programs and services applying 6 levels of thinking/learning, and
7. Develop and evaluate training methods and curriculum content based upon employee
productivity and FPY immediately upon entering the daily work force and
8. Create a standard report to present or send to key personnel to include statistics, goals,
actions items, successes, struggles, issues, etc.
It is expected that KMM Training & Development Coordinator will spend roughly:
9. 20% of their time working with all KMM Program Managers, Directors, Coordinators,
Trainers, Team Leads, and Operators to identify training needs
10. 40% of their time to work with trainers to develop specific trainings and curriculum that
meet customer requirements
11. 40% of their time should be working to improve the teaching skills of anyone who will
teach/ facilitate/ mentor any part of the KMM program (trainers, mentors, subject matter
experts, etc.)

This position requires an understanding of the importance of the function and that they are
representing KMM through their daily interactions and as such it is an expectation that they will
conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, be respectful and responsive and
follow all the KMM policies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversees the research, development, and delivery of a comprehensive company-wide
program of training courses for all KMM employees
2. Collaborate with PMs, Directors, Coordinators, and the Training Department to:
design/develop a training program that ties required training to job descriptions,
AS9100C, 3rd party auditing, internal audits, and customer requirements
a. Develop new training programs. Program development would include
designing/building training modules, with accompanying instructor and
participant work guides
b. Implement structured on the job training (SOJT) programs
c. Implement structured mentoring programs
d. Revisions of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness. Work to
develop a system that measures production employee skills the day they begin
work on the floor which reflects the progress and effectiveness of training
e. Design and distribution of surveys, interviews and questionnaires for conducting
training needs assessments
3. Develop, implement, and evaluate new and existing training programs including "Use of
Dynamics" training
4. Supervise subordinates' activities and work product by delegation, performance
evaluation, disciplinary action and conflict resolution
5. Demonstrate leadership, guidance, motivation, counseling and/or discipline to contract
staff, subject matter experts or participants.
6. Oversees standard employee training in both in-classroom and On-The-Job settings
7. Communicate with diverse audiences (e.g., employees, customers, 3rd party auditors, etc.)
to provide information and clarification regarding training programs, documentation,,
policies, and procedures
8. Remain current in job specific procedures in order to apply the most appropriate methods
by attending conferences, educational programs and seminars, reading professional
publications, using the Internet, and participating in professional organizations
9. Direct the review and selection of training materials and if necessary, acquire copyright
clearances in order to obtain the highest quality source materials to ensure AS9100C and
Customer Compliance

10. Supervises the design, development and implementation of the conversion of traditional
training materials to alternate learning formats (e.g., computer assisted instruction,
Webcast delivery, video streaming, Intranet, etc.)
11. Ensures training record keeping and documentation is up to date, accurate, and properly
documented as defined in AS9100C
12. Supports company LEAN program by participating in LEAN events and lean trainings
13. Work collaboratively with a wide variety of personalities; and adapt training needs for
individuals with various learning styles
14. Continually identify opportunities for training process improvements
15. Follow work rules and standard safety regulations at all times
16. Maintain safe working practice's and insure training area is 5sed
17. Develop long-range, intermediate, and short term goals to develop and implement
successful training programs and projects for all KMM employees
18. Budget preparation and fiscal management to develop and administer a budget
19. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by job task.
20. The Training Coordinator on a weekly basis will physically visit and spend time at each
KMM manufacturing facility to access training and development needs of each facility.
21. Adhere to all KMM safety policies and practices as well as manufacturer
recommendations on operation of all equipment and tools
22. All other duties as assigned
23. This person has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business,
public administration, education, or social / behavioral science or related field
2. Three (3) years professional supervisory or management experience in directing,
developing, evaluating and teaching curriculum
3. Program or project management techniques
4. Training or instructional strategies and methodologies including Bloom's Taxonomy
5. Principles of group dynamics and human behavior
6. Problem-solving techniques
7. Principles of supervision
8. Strategic and organizational planning techniques
9. Copyright restrictions in regard to the development and delivery of training programs
10. Functions, features and potential applications of electronic systems for the delivery of
training programs
11. The ability to communicate (verbally and written) fluently in the English language

12. Demonstrated ability to prioritize time and resources (e.g., people, facilities, events,
materials, etc.)
13. Organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks concurrently
14. Exercise sound judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information.
15. Independently make decisions and take appropriate action
16. Conduct research, gather information and analyze a variety of data
17. Create an environment (trust, team spirit, energy, and professionalism) that motivates
employees
18. Prior experience developing training curriculum
19. Ability to organize multiple deadline driven assignments at once
20. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
21. Advanced computer literacy in Windows environment including MS Office
22. Ability to work in a team environment
23. Excellent attention to detail
24. Adaptable to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace
25. Accepting of criticism and ability to deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations
26. Demonstrate initiative with all responsibilities and challenges
27. Ability and willingness to travel weekly to each KMM location
These requirements may be temporarily adjusted or modified at the time of the opening and will
be based on current labor availability and staffing needs. In these instances it is expected the
employee will be able to meet all requirements within 180 days of accepting the position
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY USED
1. Computer, projectors, and computer related software.
2. Standard office equipment such as copiers, calculators etc will be used, etc
3. Variety of hand tools may need to be used including small hand tools for cutting,
crimping, connector insertion and extraction tools, heat guns and infrared heat gun,
pneumatic hand operated crimp tool, various wrenches, torque and ratchet screwdrivers,
x-acto knives, scissors, hot tweezers, and various other small hand tooling necessary for
the training of KMM employees.

subordinates' skills and encourages growth within their organization.

and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. The individual is engaged in the operation
requirements to provide a quality product in all steps of the process. The individual can
understand and follow all quality requirements and will seek assistance where necessary.
The individual demonstrates an understanding of the importance of the quality of work
necessary to meet the customer expectations and the importance of their function in that
process. The individual meets the measurement for FPY where applicable and strives to
make improvements where necessary. This competency will be demonstrated through
increases in operator FPY.
9. Judgment-the individual understands the complexity and importance of the job

individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment
and makes timely decisions. The individual is willing to seek assistance where needed.
The individual shows good judgment by adherence to company policies and procedures.
This competency will be demonstrated through improved productivity, FPY, and an
increase in certifications. This individual must have the ability to listen and engage
others to understand and ensure that decisions affecting them have their input and ideas
evaluated)
10. Planning/Organizing-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time
efficiently. The individual participates in 5S Safety daily and keeps a clean and
organized work area.
11. Lean / Process Improvements - the individual has an understanding of the lean
environment goals and is actively engaged in process improvements in all areas of
responsibility.
12. Safety and Security-the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety
and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly and provides
assistance as needed to the Safety Committee.
OTHER -
It is KMM's expectation that the employee will know, understand and adhere to all KMM
policies, procedures, standards of conduct and adhere to KMM Mission Statement and Values.
They must be trustworthy, honest, dependable, and able to work and be a part of the teamwork
environment at KMM. In addition the employee must be self motivated and exemplify good
attention to detail and strive for 100% quality as well as be able to handle the job pressure of
schedules and customer changes as well as occasional interruptions. There may be times where
extra hours are necessary to meet customer delivery requirements.The continued success of KMM is reliant upon the engagement of employees to provide
continuous improvements through lean activities and process improvement activities and
recommendations. Quality of product is paramount to KMM and the employee's continued
employment and as such the ability to perform the functions of the job will be evaluated on a
regular basis to ensure that these requirements are met.
Communication and transparency are critical to the success of this position. The Training &
Development Coordinator must foster a culture of commitment and proactive response to any
KMM coworker or customer. Clear communication with supervisors in regards to production;
understanding of the process is paramount to the program success and employee success.
As a KMM employee it is an expectation that you will treat coworkers with respect and will
refrain from any comments or actions at work, in public or on public networking sites that could
be considered as liable or degrading to KMM or your fellow employees. KMM has no tolerance

The employee is representing KMM as a leader and/or through their contact with customers,
vendors, community members and fellow employees and is expected to present themselves in a
professional manner at all times.
This position is considered a leadership position and as such is a representative of KMM and is
therefore expected to be performed in a professional manner at all times.
This position will require travel for training, to customers and/or other KMM facilities as needed
and this may include working at other locations periodically and/or possibly for extended periods
of time to support operations and fulfill job requirements In the event that a KMM vehicle is not
available for use the employee will be required to provide their own transportation.
