Job Posting for POD Category Sales Manager at KIMBALL INTERNATIONAL
High Level Statement of the Role:
The Pod Category Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales strategies, initiatives, and activation efforts of the Pod Category sold through the Kimball International dealer distribution channel. They’ll be asked to understand and effectively communicate the category and brand value proposition to targeted corporate and institutional end-users, effectively building our sales development pipeline.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of our commercial sales expansion of the Pod Category, heavily supporting key opportunities and in-person/virtual client meetings
Develop robust business plans, by region, with quotas, KPIs and meaningful cadence of progress towards goals.
Develop and execute business development sales plans for key end-user accounts
Create appropriate sales targets and quotas, and manage team(s) to achieve those goals
Partner with the Director, Business Insights and Market Intelligence to develop KPIs month over month as we ramp Pod Category within KII
Develop and maintain customer relationships that lead to profitable sales opportunities, leveraging the Pod Category as a brand attractor for Kimball International’s core product offerings
Engage with KII Brand and Trade marketing to develop materials and promotions to commercialize the Pod Category
Collaborate with Trade to implement and execute planned promotional programs to ensure an acceptable ROI
Support field sales leadership in a player/coach role, partnering with Field Sales resources to optimize engagement within Sales Distribution
Inform Product Development of market demands, informing upstream Product Development opportunities
Partner with sales leadership team to develop and refine sales strategy
Create and manage Monthly, Quarterly 5Q Workplace Forecasts for the Pod Category
Provide one on one coaching for dotted-line reports in weekly meetings as well implement team wide sales training
Recommend price for negotiations for special orders while managing overall margin level for your team
