Overview

 

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to supplement our client staff as needed to assist in processing outdoor advertising and vegetation control applications. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' needs and ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of applications related to outdoor advertising and vegetation control. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in administrative support.  This position is pursuent to a yearly contract renewal with TDOT and will work in the Nashville TDOT office a minimum of three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Application Processing: Assist in processing outdoor advertising and vegetation control applications by reviewing and verifying application documents, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, and entering data accurately into the system.
  • Communication: Maintain effective and professional communication with clients, colleagues, and government agencies to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide updates on application status as needed.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to outdoor advertising and vegetation control applications, ensuring completeness and adherence to established procedures.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines related to outdoor advertising and vegetation control, identifying any discrepancies or non-compliance issues, and taking appropriate actions to rectify them.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices to stay updated on changes and ensure compliance in application processing.
  • Quality Assurance: Review processed applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborative Support: Collaborate with team members and other departments to provide support and assistance as needed, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus eight (8) or more years of relevant experience. Associates degree plus six (6) or more years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in processing outdoor advertising or vegetation control applications is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and process application documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines related to outdoor advertising and vegetation control is a plus.
