Overview
Kimley-Horn's Oakland office is seeking a Transportation Planner or Engineer with 2 years of post-college experience to join their Transit and Complete Streets team! This position is in-person/in-office.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work with our Multi-Modal Transportation team performing a variety of transportation-related planning and conceptual design tasks including transportation analyses, complete streets studies, mobility analyses, and transit analyses, and development of public outreach materials and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
- Registered P.E. or T.E. in the state of CA (or the interest and ability to obtain)
- At least 2 year of directly related full-time experience
- Experience preparing technical materials such as transit analyses, traffic studies, parking studies, complete streets assessments, safety studies, multi-modal planning, site circulation and access studies, and other various transportation planning and design activities.
- Demonstrated experience working on a team.
- Proficiency in GIS and Excel
- Exposure to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM, Sidra, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software desired.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000
