Senior Financial Analyst
Job location: our office in Ottawa, Canada. We work in a hybrid model, therefore you will be expected to be in our office 3-days per week. If you are based in Toronto or Montreal you will have an option to work fully remote.
About the team
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst, as a fully proficient and seasoned professional with extensive experience, will provide ongoing business support and performance measurement to key stakeholders to meet our objective of maintaining continuous profitable growth. The SFA will focus mainly on supporting our subscription revenue reporting within Kinaxis under the Corporate FP&A group, and will provide trusted subject matter expertise to the business. Our ideal candidate will have a track record for building strong partnerships with senior leaders, is detail-oriented, results driven, a critical thinker, and a proactive team player.
What you will do
- Maintain and enhance all subscription revenue forecasting models and associated processes
- Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for subscription revenue by collaborating with FP&A business partners and internal stakeholders
- Perform data extraction and analysis to develop, prepare, and present revenue results that are timely, accurate, reliable
- Help drive standardized KPI reporting that will automate performance measurement
- Build and Enhance reporting and dashboards to explain trends and identify actionable insights; providing recommendations to the business
- Evolve our ability and efficiency to provide answers to recurring and ad-hoc requests
- Work on ad-hoc FP&A projects and perform analysis that impacts subscription revenu
What we are looking for
- Post secondary degree in accounting, business, or related field, and CPA designation or MBA
- 3-5 years post-designation experience, preferably with SaaS experience at a global company in the technology sector or Audit experience at a major accounting firm; background in FP&A is an asset
- Experience with accounting and financial planning systems, Netsuite and Planful experience would be an asset
- Highly skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including being able to clearly and effectively communicate financial information to business stakeholders, along with strong interpersonal skills.
