Pipeline Operator – CO2

Primary Purpose:
- Perform and coordinate work group activities including patrolling, locating, construction inspection, and excavation inspection of Company gas/liquids pipelines, appurtenances, compressor stations, process plants and other related facilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Surveillance and maintenance of facilities
- Locate and mark facilities per Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during encroachments and excavation.
- Coordinate local Damage Prevention activities.
- Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with Company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities.
- Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, USFS, etc.)
- Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required (e.g., personnel in progression, transport drivers, contractors, visitors)
- Follow all EHS procedures and practices
- Be able to identify safety hazards
- Maintain good standing with all required training
- Participate in pipeline public awareness programs and emergency drills
- Respond to pipeline emergencies such as spills, outages, power failures, etc.
- Launch and receive pipeline scraper pigs
- Maintain, repair, and operate valves and pumps
- Assist with regulatory audits
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience / specific knowledge:
- Must have completed at least one (1) year at Pipeline Operator 1 or industry equivalent
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver’s license
- Subject to random drug testing
- Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required

- Follow work procedures independently on less routine tasks or more complex equipment/processes

Physical demands:
- Driving in remote & congested areas
- Working outside in extreme weather

- Some inside work for training, working on computer

Salary : $48,500 - $61,400
