Primary Purpose:
This position will act as the primary contact between customers shipping on Kinder Morgan’s products pipelines and Control Center operations. It is responsible for monitoring and controlling shipper inventories, coordinating batch movements throughout the system and creating receipt and delivery schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create receipt and delivery schedules based on nominations
- Adjust schedules/flowrates as needed to maintain proper inventory levels.
- Communicate with connecting pipelines if adjustments are needed via phone/e-mail and BMS schedules.
- Schedule down time on pipelines for pipeline maintenance.
- Schedule adjustments may have to be done after hours and/or weekends.
- Available after hours and/or weekends via phone
- Use of PCCI system and Transmix.net to allow shipper inventory control.
- Coordinate barge loadings, truck slots and transfers within the Transmix facilities
- Investigate issues with tickets.
- Perform loss/gain reports as needed.
- Investigate any issues with the loss/gain
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Address customer issues that arise and send notification beyond normal working hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Assist management as needed.
- Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public.
Other Duties Assigned:
- The Scheduler will provide schedules on a timely basis to Shipper personnel and third party connecting pipelines to start each month, and keep updated throughout month.
- The Scheduler will monitor inventory levels at KM, and adjust the receipt/delivery schedules as needed.
- The Scheduler will work closely with operations on planned/unplanned maintenance at the various KM facilities that may require downtime. He/she will also work closely with connecting pipelines on receipt/delivery schedules into or out of KM facilities. He/she will make adjustments to movements based on issues that may arise with third party pipelines.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
Experience / Specific Knowledge:
- Minimum 1-3 Years’ Experience in Pipeline Industry
- Strong Math Skills and the use of Microsoft Excel a must
- Experience with liquids pipeline operations is desired
- Understanding of SCADA systems is a plus
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be competent in the use of software programs such as Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work with others; be a self-starter, and strong communication skills are a must.
