ROUSTABOUT

Primary purpose:

• The Snyder 175 Pipe Yard is the hub for the staging of materials needed to facilitate the safe and efficient operations of the SACROC field along with other CO2 fields nearby.
• The Roustabout is responsible for assisting in the safe operation of the pipe yard by maintaining clean work areas, ensuring accurate inventory counts, working directly with third party contractors, operating fork lifts and performing general office duties.
• Additionally, the Roustabout is responsible for vehicle maintenance, attendance of Pipe Yard meetings, security checks, assist with Pipe Yard activities, assist in organization of the Pipe Yard, assist in loading/unloading of deliveries, assist in training.
• Position level commensurate with experience and skill sets.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Morning vehicle inspections: check for needed repairs, and needed tools
• Morning forklift inspections: check for needed repairs
• Forklift operation (front end loader & warehouse): load tubing, pipe, and misc. objects
• Document information of field activity
• Attend daily Pipe Yard meeting: review expected shipments of the day
• Review daily Job Safety Analysis
• Perform security checks: check the Pipe Yard perimeter, and check areas of the Pipe Yard for security breaches
• Assist in any misc. task or event within the Pipe Yard: swamp for forklift operator, assist in documenting material receipts and load outs, assign tasks to Pipe Yard roustabouts
• Organization of the Pipe Yard: maintain cleanliness, watch for and address hazards, ensure material placement
• Assist in inventory counts: document daily movements of material
• Assist as office aid: know duties performed by office administrators
• Assist with surplus sales
• Be "On Call": carry a cell phone during non-working hours, and always be ready for misc. tasks
• Training: Assist in training new employees
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets, employees, contractors and the general public.

Position Requirements

Minimum requirements:

Education:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

Experience / specific knowledge:

• Experience in Inventory Control.
• Experience operating a front end loader with forks to move tubing, pipe, etc.
• Safety awareness

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

• Forklift Certification.

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

• Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules and adhere to work schedules required.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solving skills, including logical thought processes, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to positively resolve conflict.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of Smart Office, a plus
• Basic math skills

Physical demands:

• Sitting, standing, talking, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Job is in an outside environment, and will be subject to weather conditions. Job is also an inside environment.

Working conditions:

• Based in Kinder Morgan office in Snyder, TX.
• May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed.
• The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
