A/R Clerk

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role requires strong mathematical skills, as well as knowledge of accounts receivable processes and medical collections.

Duties:
- Process incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts
- Prepare and send invoices to customers
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist with credit analysis and determine creditworthiness of customers
- Handle collection calls and maintain professional phone etiquette
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer inquiries or issues
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, medical collections, or related field
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to work with financial concepts
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
