What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Forklift Operator position at Kinetic Personnel Group Inc.?
The Material Handler will stage material so that machinery operates continuous production and ensure material is warehoused to a specified standard, that proper stock rotation is maintained and that location of materials is accurate
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operate forklift-type equipment in a safe manner
- Monitor coating production schedule to determine needs while utilizing picks for proper material identification
- Communicate with the Production Scheduler
- Stage material while verifying quantities or damaged goods
- Maintain warehouse organization by performing material transfers and following established standards for storage resulting in accurate inventory
- Communicate timely any issues to appropriate parties: damaged goods, damaged equipment, etc.
- Ensure the warehouse is properly maintained and clean
- Review roll labels and stacking of materials to ensure the accuracy of the location
- Sweep, if needed, to ensure the warehouse is free of debris
- Continuously rotate inventory to ensure FIFO
- Move any butt rolls to a trailer as needed
- Move any totes or drums to the wash water area for disposal
- Place skids and debris from the incoming raw material into designated locations daily
- Monitor forklift maintenance
- Assist with inventory as needed
- Assist with personnel training and ensure new employees are properly trained to safety standards
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and within safety guidelines/procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to manage priorities and multitask
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to understand any safety requirements and cautions
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
