Health Plans - Project Manager

We are searching for a Project Manager - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will will lead multiple integrated, complex project(s) with impact across TCHP.

Qualifications

• 
  Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
• Required Bachelor's Degree
• Required 4 years’ experience in business, project, finance, and/or healthcare experience
• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Biology or other business, healthcare or science related field can be substituted for two (2) years of the experience requirement
• Job Duties & Responsibilities

• 
  Manages multiple mandatory, essential, high, moderate and/or low business priority projects.
• Responsible for adherence to the Project Governance guidelines, including the approvals processes and project and reporting structures. Establishes project specific governance and conducts Steering and Work team meetings.
• Determines staff resource needs for analysts, programmers, vendors, user personnel, consultants, and equipment by assessing the size, duration, scope, and complexity of the project.
• Formulates, administers, and maintains the detailed Project Plan, using Project Management tool, which will include all required activities, tasks, risks, issues and resources requirements, leading to a successful and timely implementation. Provides regular project status reports as required.
• Facilitates, communicates, listens, and works with project team members and other Project Managers to continuously update the detailed project plan in addition to the risk and issues plan.
• Ensures documentation (i.e., change control, project plans, test plans, policies and procedures, disaster recovery) is complete, accurate, acceptable, and in accordance with organizational standards and policies.
• Plans and executes smooth transition of responsibilities to support staff at completion of project.
• Manages three important variables pertaining to projects: Cost, scope, and time
• Provides leadership to staff or team member(s) to help achieve the project's goals.
• Interacts with staff and leadership to understand business needs
• Develops and reports appropriate project metrics.
• Analyzes project standards, methodologies, and impacts.
• Coordinates activities and information dissemination with committees, TCHP management, and other necessary participants.
