TITLE: RN Supervisor (IGHL Opportunity Center)
SUPERVISOR: Director of IGHL Opts

The RN Supervisor for IGHL Opts is responsible to give the best medical care possible to the consumers.
Monday - Friday 7:45am - 3:45am
RESPONSIBILITIES:
E- Connotes Essential Functions
E-1 Evaluates a sick or injured consumer’s physical condition and need for medical care.
E-2 Administers emergency first aid and obtains emergency assistance in an emergency.
E-3 Completes nursing assessments as needed.
E-4 Supervises LPN’s.
E-5 Participates as a member of the ITT.
E-6 Compiles and maintains necessary nursing/medical documentation regarding ongoing medical, nursing, O.T., P.T. and dental sections of each consumer’s record.
E-7 Ensures that necessary medical supplies are available as required and maintains a current medication record.
E-8 Assists in coordination with residence nurses and IGHL physician for the provision of IGHL consumer medical needs.
E-9 Attends infection control meetings and immediately addresses infection control issues as they arise and brings it to the attention of the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Opts.
E-10 Coordinates with day treatment nutritionist and kitchen staff regarding necessary information to ensure nutritional needs of the consumers are met.
E-11 Develops and provides in-service training to staff as needed.
E-12 Participates in consumer admission, movement and discharge procedures, as needed.
E-13 Provides consultation for staff when requested in regards to suggestions, ideas and information to be a more effective means of dealing with the nursing and medical needs of the consumers.
E-14 Interacts with consumers, clinical staff as well as other agency staff, family members and outside business contacts in a positive manner to facilitate the development of good working relationships and to enhance the consumers relationships and their skill development.
15- Participates in IGHL projects or committees as needed.
16- Dispenses medications and medical treatments, as needed.
17- Reviews all medications and treatments to ensure that all medications and prescribed medical treatments are being given and documented.
18- Ensures that all medications and medical supplies are stored according to Opts and IGHL policy.
19- Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
20- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
A. NYS RN license
B. Experience working in the medical field
C. Valid NYS driver’s license
D. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.00 per hour
