Civil / Underground Foreman

King has an immediate need for Civil Crew Foreman. This is a full time, supervisory, hourly position, with opportunity for advancement within our growing team.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of three years of related experience within the telecommunications or related construction industry
• Strong organizational communication (written, verbal and computer) skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, problem solving, written and verbal skills (including technological devices)
• Management, establishment, and communication of clear goals and objectives
• Possession of a valid driver’s license that meets the criteria of the Company Vehicle Policy
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must pass a drug screen
• Must have background screen results that meet the criteria of Company

Experience on Construction Sites

• Adept at operating heavy equipment, earthmoving equipment, trenching equipment
• Hands on concrete placement and finishing experience
• Hands-on experience with directing the activities of crews for civil, utility, electrical, underground and concrete construction in an industrial setting
• Ability to read engineering drawings is required
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, or comparable programs/systems
• Experience placing conduit for power/telephone utilities, reading utility plans
• Experience using excavation equipment, hoe ram, back hoe, skid steer equipment
• Ability to manage team members effectively
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to company’s written safety policy

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Works in both an office and field environment
• Must be able to sit for extended periods; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk, hear, stoop, kneel and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 100 pounds
• Must have the ability and be willing to travel, as required, for job related functions
