JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for facilitating and supervising the daily operations of the Distribution and Courier Departments and team related to the stockroom, stockless program, inventory control, reliability of distribution, courier services and shipping/receiving functions.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervises the inventory control function including receiving, storage, transport and distribution of incoming and outgoing supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for supervising on site storerooms and off site warehouses.
- Responsible for assisting in the hiring, training, evaluation, and necessary discipline within the distribution and courier departments.
- Coordinates courier needs with contractors.
- Identifies item shortages and special needs and coordinates with Distribution Manager for substitutions.
- Reviews in partnership with the Distribution Manager any cost analyses, inventory reports, and related statistical data to remain current with the operational and financial status of the institution's supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Develops strategies to enhance distribution, minimize cost of supplies, and reduce inventory while ensuring the availability of high quality supplies and equipment and the avoidance of shortages.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Understands and complies with work rules and safety regulations.
- Works any shift necessary for the adequate coverage of the department and additional hours if needed.
- Attends all guest relations, guaranteed patient satisfaction and mandatory training programs.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirement:

5 years’ experience in materials management/courier service related field

Preferred qualifications:
-
Prior supervisory/management experience
-
Knowledge of Lawson, Mobile Supply Chain Management, and Soft Express

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Works indoors, outdoors, and in an office/clinic setting.
