Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Assist with food plating and presentation for banquets, catering events, or restaurant service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient workflow and timely food preparation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the food service industry
Note: Prior experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in their culinary skills.
