*Overview*
Kingdom Childcare Center is seeking to fill the position of Teacher for its startup location in Calverton, MD. The Child Care Center Teacher(s) are passionate about the growth and development of children and helps to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for learning in line with Christian teachings and values. Collaboration with parents, caregivers, Center Director, teachers, and other members of the Center staff are imperative to individual and team success.
*Duties*
Create and support the creation and implementation of lesson plans and activities individually and in partnership with other teachers and the Center Director.
Ensure all teaching environments (i.e. classroom, play area, etc.) are conducive to learning and engagement, maintaining cleanliness and order.
Partner with all staff to ensure the overall well-being of the children, being astute in the monitoring of behavior and addressing areas of need.
Maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and development and make appropriate recommendations to assist with learning.
Adheres to all internal policies and procedures, and compliance and licensing regulations.
Attend meetings and educational and child safety trainings as required.
*Skills*
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Early Childhood Education or similar preferred.
Completion of required coursework to serve as staff in the state of MD and experience working in a preschool or daycare setting strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
First Aid/CPR/BLS certification strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
