As we further expand our US presence, we have a new opportunity for a proven Project Engineer to join our highly collaborative team to play a key role in the successful delivery of world-class audio-visual solutions to our impressive client base.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will involve creating, reviewing, and improving audio visual drawing packages to support the installation of hardware and to work as part of the project engineering team, ensuring the efficient delivery of the technical artifacts for production purposes. Key aspects of the role include:
- Supporting pre and post sales teams with engineering project requirements
- Presales engineering review of designs and ensuring all specified equipment will work as designed
- Post-sales engineering support for project management team
- Creating detailed CAD drawings and schematics for audio and video systems
- Developing clear and precise technical documentation
- Work with the engineering team to improve and define new standards and industry best practices
- Creating M&E layouts, elevations, plans, details, and schematics
- Rendering of room layouts and elevations from architect’s drawings
- Managing drawing revisions
- Leading discussions around complex issues; identifying and proposing strategies around technical problems
Skills and experience:
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in AV design and integration
- Proven experience working in a project engineering role within the AV industry
- Extensive Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD
- Previous CAD drafting in the AV industry would be seen as an advantage
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure is essential
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work within a team
- A good understanding of computer software and hardware systems
