JOINING OUR TEAM
Whistle is looking for a passionate storyteller to build and execute the vision that transforms Whistle from excellence in location and safety to a daily digital health companion that pet parents use to manage the wellbeing of their furry best friend. This person will understand the market landscape, customer needs, and product benefits to market fit. You will drive product positioning, value proposition, and our external narrative development. You will inspire and lead by example, driving forward progress in a dynamic, high-profile category with stakeholders of all levels. Central to this role will be augmenting an experienced team of product managers with your narrative expertise, inspiring storytelling ability, and partnering with stakeholders (customer care, design, engineering, marketing, etc.) to contribute to our product operations.
Whistle's team is scrappy, highly technical, and we’re deeply passionate about what we do. You'll be joining a cross-functional group specializing in building hardware, software, and customer experiences that empower pet owners with rich insights into their pets' health and well-being. We are the "get the job done” type people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solve strategic marketing challenges, including core product positioning, pricing, product naming, feature naming, and messaging.
- Managing weekly go-to-market launches, delivering high-quality messaging, content, and screenshots that communicate the value of new or enhanced products (apps, web, and hardware).
- Produce excellent customer content — such as video production, live training, video scripts, concierge tools, and best practice articles.
- Assisting with strategic initiatives and programs to drive new customer adoption and help existing customers get more value from our software.
- Supporting the ongoing growth of new products and services.
- Working proactively to deepen your understanding of our market, customers, and product.
- Constantly be optimizing messaging and channel mix by generating new user insights in close collaboration with our Data & Analytics teams.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- 7 years in a Product Marketing role with specific experience in digital consumer products.
- Demonstrated track record of developing insights-driven product positioning, product messaging, internal and external narratives and go-to-market strategies.
- Experience in partnering with brand and Go-To-Market teams as a product expert.
- Experience in digital marketing in PetCare, Wearables, Consumerized Health, Paid Consumer Services required
- Comfortable with both software and hardware product development practices.

COMPENSATION
The base salary range for this position is $155k - $170k annually, commensurate with experience. Total compensation will include bonus incentives and benefits. Whistle provides Full Time Employees (Associates) benefits which may include health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for Mars discounts, unlimited paid time off and access to other benefit programs. Eligibility for Whistle benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable Whistle Benefits plan at a person’s date of hire.
