What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEO Manager position at Kinship?
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Strategy/Optimization/Execution
- Managing an SEO agency for a portfolio of brands: The Wildest, GoodFriend, Adopt a Pet, Wisdom Panel, Whistle
- Defining the SEO strategy for The Kin with the agency and drive successful implementation.
- Completing tasks according to the SEO timeline/scope for each brand. This involves receiving deliverables on-time by the agency and collaborating with internal Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Content teams for timely implementation.
- Reviewing deliverables and providing feedback to the agency to ensure completeness and readiness for internal teams.
- Tracking performance following implementation and sharing recommendations internally.
- Communicating with brands on a regular basis to share updates on performance, progress across projects, and for continuous alignment on strategy.
- Directing an off-page optimization project with Mars Petcare brands (i.e. link-building).
- Performing ad-hoc SEO analysis or pull reports without the agency, when needed.
- Staying up to date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and methodologies.
REPORTING
- Developing clear, compelling presentations including past performance, updates on key projects, opportunities and more to senior management.
- Guiding the agency to build and optimize SEO performance reports with KPIs across brands.
- Distilling insights from weekly check-ins with the agency and regularly sharing insights with stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SEO
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale SEO programs.
- Expertise manipulating data with Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- Deep knowledge of tools such as SEMRush
- Experience with two-sided marketplaces / aggregators a plus
- Proactive attitude and desire to work in a results-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
- Team player and comfortable working cross-functionally across varying levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
COMPENSATION
The New York, New York base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Total compensation will include bonus incentives and benefits. Kinship provides Full Time Employees (Associates) benefits which may include health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for Mars discounts, unlimited paid time off and access to other benefit programs. Eligibility for Kinship benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable Kinship Benefits plan at a person’s date of hire.
