What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Kintsugi?
Kintsugi is searching for highly passionated professionals to join our service team in SoHo, New York.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can work well in a team under a high pressure environment.
- Ideal candidates should be detail oriented, professional, and highly-motivated.
- Previous work experience with a tasting menu format and Japanese Culinary tradition is preferred.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 1 year Minimum experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant as a dishwasher / porter
- Eager to learn about Japanese food preparation; previous preparation experience preferred
- Experience in high end Japanese restaurant preferred
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be knowledgeable of Industry
- Must have full schedule availability
- Must be open to work well in a dynamic team in a professional manner
- NYC Food handling license preferred
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain composure under pressure
- Identify and report problems to management immediately
- Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for individual needs
- Implement and follow steps of service
- Oversee activities of your team in the station
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the proper standards of clearing a table
- Maintain station organization and cleanliness
- Be willing and able to perform the sequence of service
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY
Food preparation training will be provided for those who are interested in the cuisine and work
