Department: Information Technology

POSITION PURPOSE:

Manages, documents and supports all aspects of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) business systems (Production planning, shop floor control, inventory and financial & distribution systems); providing operational and technical support for the information systems hardware and software; assuring the security and integrity of the database and information systems; analyzing business problems and user requirements in order to develop the necessary custom reports, programs and procedures to improve, support and maintain information systems; interacting with business users to develop and document systems specifications, priorities and timelines for information systems projects; studying existing information systems to evaluate effectiveness in order to develop and improve system productivity, efficiency and reporting; develop and deliver user training related to software and business procedures; planning and performing maintenance and upgrades to remain on the current release of software; researching new technology and new trends in application development methodology; assuring compliance with company policies and procedures regarding information security, data integrity and disaster planning recovery. Takes initiative to identify and solve problems. Acts as a coach and mentor to Kinyo employees. Demonstrates initiative and leadership. Identifies and develops ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality. Improve job skills, knowledge, performance, and education. Attend educational programs to keep skills current. Accepts change. Willingness to work extra hours as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consults with department managers and provides computer equipment.
  • Regulates workflow to meet established priorities.
  • Make recommendations for upgrading computer equipment.
  • Responsible for computer training for personnel.
  • Ensures computer system is functioning properly.
  • Manages IT staff.
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all systems users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
  • Perform and monitor daily server backup
  • Monitor and support critical network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, phone and email system).
  • Conduct user training and orientation of Enterprise System.
  • Participate in on going SAP Business One enhancements as directed by the President
  • Communicate with third party managed services providers to ensure support and business continuity as needed.
  • Perform all duties regarding onboarding and removing users from all systems per HR request.
  • Manage biometric readers hardware and Bio Star database.
  • Manage security camera network and availability
  • Develop enterprise reports in Crystals Reports and Excel Power Query.

Hazardous Waste responsibilities- Recycling of Electronic Waste and Toner Ink

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year college degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer technology or related field.
  • IT Management experience and five years minimum hands on computer experience.
  • Knowledge of business procedures in manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of the interrelationships of computer systems and business procedures.
  • Network administration in a Windows environment
  • Desktop PC support including Windows and MS Office Suite
  • SAP Business One Support.
  • Windows DNS/DHCP/Activity director systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with ERP Systems.

  • MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, Sharepoint

  • VBA Programming and Power Query
