Job Description
The IT Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of IT with implementing the IT vision to meet the organization’s needs, including IT planning and infrastructure development, technical support, and data and software management.
WHO YOU ARE:
- A leader with 4 years of experience successfully leading in the IT industry
- Someone with a proven track record of excelling in a fast-paced, high achieving, energetic and results-oriented environment
- A perceptive professional with strong time management skills, and ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and timelines; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Someone with excellent team building, and management skills, including a track record of conveying compassion and care to employees
- A strong communicator with demonstrated ability to present a technology vision confidently, and translate technical IT language to the average person
- An even stronger listener who is self-aware and able to pick up on verbal and nonverbal cues of others; shows respect to all individuals, no matter their position in the organization
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Collaborate with the Director of IT to set clear priorities and goals for the technology team, balancing the long-term and immediate needs
- Work closely with the Director of IT to define and deliver new products and enhancements
- Create and provide technology orientation and training to KIPP Capital Region staff
- Oversee all operating systems, routers, laptops, and desktops; academic platform application and implementations
- Cultivate and develop a technology team culture that expertly uses data and coaching to motivate and equip the team to achieve performance goals; and steward the mission and vision of the organization
- Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships to ensure the timely completion of day-to-day support activities and ongoing/long-term projects

Additional Information
The starting base salary range for this exempt position is $68,400 to $75,600.
