JOB SUMMARY
Warehouse clerks inspect and count incoming shipments of products for inventory; check items received against purchase orders; enter inventory data into computer; replenish bins and stock picking shelves with the incoming products; accurately pick, inspect, package, weigh and ship products to customers. Other office support activities may be required on an as needed basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receiving
• Identify and inspect incoming inventory items against purchase orders and packing slips for damage, defect, proper type, size, number, color, diameter, etc., using measuring devices and acquired knowledge
• Accurately enters inventory receiving data into computer
• Inspect returned customer orders for damage, proper items, counts, etc.
• Load and/or unload trucks by operating a forklift and/or by manual means
Production
• Pick products from warehouse shelves according to computer generated production order
• Assemble and inspect parts for quality, quantity, color, dimension, etc.
• Scan production order and enter production data into SAP program
• Package and label parts for shipment in accordance with customer specifications or Kipp Inc. standards
Shipping
• Pick products from warehouse shelves according to computer generated commission slip
• Inspect picked orders for quality, quantity, color, dimension, etc.
• Scan commission slip and enter order data into SAP program
• Package and label orders for shipment in accordance with customer specifications or Kipp Inc. standards
• Weigh packages to calculate and record shipping charges
• Process special orders and/or orders with special shipping instructions
• Move materials and products using forklift trucks and/or other mechanical means
• Assist others researching orders or otherwise resolve problems relating to shipping
• Regular, consistent attendance
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Restock assembly benches
• Restock bins and shelves
• Assists others locating and retrieving inventory
• Enters inventory data into computer
• Replace paper in printer
• Conducts inventory counts of parts as needed
• General housekeeping
• Other reasonable duties as assigned
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and some college preferred
• Basic computer, math, counting, reading, and writing skills a must
• Knowledge of German language a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Intermittent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching above the shoulder, balancing, pushing and pulling
• Extensive lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying various weights ranging from one (1) to sixty-five (65) pounds
• The ability to understand and communicate with others, to distinguish colors, the use of hands to grasp and manipulate objects and machinery, accurate vision (with glasses or contact lenses), and good eye-hand coordination
