Business Manager – Project Estimators
Are you a pro at developing a team? Equally adept at crafting and implementing processes and guidelines that increase efficiency and the bottom line? Solid experience in the world of Project Estimating? (Electrical Industry experience a plus!)
What will I do as a Business Manager – Project Estimators
Establish electronic efficiencies and necessary tools to quote construction customer projects effectively
Champion a robust team environment through hiring, coaching, development, and communication
Facilitate collaboration with Account Managers, Project Estimators, Project Managers, Project Folder Coordinators, Business Managers, and Strategic Account Executives to ensure project completion through the bid, quote, and project hand-off part of the project process
Facilitate an environment of continuous process improvement to reduce error rates and increase productivity through the establishment of best practices and guidelines for Project Estimators
Assign, track, and manage reporting on workload across Project Estimators using Business System Software(s) and CRM
Track hit rate over time for each project bid and help mitigate areas of increased risk for adverse financial outcomes through CRM
Monitor bid list and follow up on project quotes generated by Project Estimator
Facilitate feedback conversations with Project Estimators and Account Managers regarding difficulties with customer relationships and project initiation
Coordinate and facilitate training for Project Estimators alongside Strategic Account Executive – Construction Project Management
Want to know if you are a good fit? If so, you will meet the following criteria:
College-level coursework and/or equivalent 4 years of relevant work experience
Thorough knowledge of electrical products and their applications
Knowledge of construction basics; accurately read product catalogs, price sheets, blueprints, and specifications
Leadership skills, the ability to influence others, coach, mentor, plan and execute plans
Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with order-processing software
What is the schedule?
8-5, travel between branches with very minimal need for overnight stays
