Job Summary
Performs laboratory tests to determine mechanical and physical characteristics of rubber materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development by performing the following duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as tensile testing machine, hardness tester, specific gravity tester, MDR, Oven and other equipment.
- Perform materials testing on organics, rubbers and other products for physical and mechanical properties including specific gravity, hardness, tensile strength, elongation, viscosity, melting or flash point, etc.
- Report test results per materials testing specifications and generate test reports.
- Others duties may be required as assigned by lab lead and manager
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 Year’s experience as a lab technician in aerospace
- Knowledge of industrial materials specifications.
- Ability to operate lab equipment including tensile testing machines (Instron, Alpha or equivalent).
- High School Diplomas minimum.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines in fast paced environment
- Intermediate skills in working with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
