What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent position at Kirkley Hotel?

We are looking for a part-time Night Auditor and /or Part time Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Night Auditor responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. You are also responsible for closing the day in our PMS, and filing the appropriate reports. Front Desk duties include intake/checkout of guests, providing service to to guests during their stay, reservation calls, and duties like cleaning/upkeep of the front desk and hotel lobby. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform the nightly audit duties (closing of the day in the PMS, filing/printing reports).
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments

Skills

  • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
  • Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
  • Customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All common areas/surfaces disinfected multiple times per shift, temperature checks pre-shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
