Legal Administrator/Operations Manager - Exciting Opportunity in Bloomfield Hills, MI!
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Legal Administrator to join our dynamic Bloomfield Hills, Michigan team. As a key leader within our firm, you will play a crucial role in driving our success through strategic planning, oversight, and the development of our operations. Your responsibilities will include managing and training our employees, implementing efficient systems and policies, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the firm.

You will work closely with the owner and have the authority to oversee and make decisions regarding non-attorney staff, including hiring, supervision, and termination. $85,000 - $105,000 per year quarterly bonuses
Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with the Visionary/CEO as a trusted advisor and partner.
- Develop strategies that align with the firm's vision and ensure successful execution of the business plan.
- Oversee all major functions within the firm and manage day-to-day operations effectively.
- Establish and evaluate firm systems, procedures, and policies to enhance efficiency.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure accountability.
- Take charge of HR responsibilities, including performance evaluations, professional development, and coaching.
- Assess current computer systems and software to recommend upgrades for improved legal process management.
- Attend various meetings related to marketing, sales, legal production, management, and business development.
- Monitor workflow pipeline to track progress towards milestones and timely resolutions for clients.
- Review firm SKUs and workflows in collaboration with the management team to enhance efficiency, profitability, and staff capacity.
- Engage in national and state training and coaching programs to stay updated on industry best practices.
- Must hold a degree in Management, Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field
- Professional certification in HR (HRI or SHRM) is required
- Previous experience in managing a professional services firm or a division of a mid-sized/large professional services firm is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, with a pleasant, outgoing personality
- Experience in a law firm is beneficial, but only applicants with broad-scale operations experience will be considered
- Proven ability to manage a team of at least 30 and a budget of $10 million
- Enthusiasm for working in a start-up environment
- Experience in advising and decision-making in a senior management role
- Autonomy in hiring, firing, and supervising staff, with formal training in federal and Michigan HR law
- Demonstrated skill in designing and executing business plans strategically and efficiently
- Proficiency in understanding financial tools such as P&L statements, budgets, pipeline reports, and WIP reports
- Ability to evaluate and review employees for fit in roles and culture
