What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attorney position at Kishinevsky & Raykin, LLC?
Civil Rights Trial Attorney
The Colorado Law Team (coloradolawteam.com) is looking for a civil rights attorney.
We primarily handle cases involving special needs kids and adult students with disabilities. This position should be viewed more as a calling than just a job. We are very aggressive in going after schools that mistreat special needs kids, and the ideal candidate will adopt that attitude. We litigate the vast majority of the cases that we take, and anyone applying should expect to do a lot of court work. We also handle police brutality and prisoner abuse cases.
Entry-level candidates -- especially those with a civil rights background in law school and/or former K-12 teachers -- will be strongly considered.
Experienced public defenders also will be strongly considered.
The position includes health benefits, a retirement plan, four weeks of paid vacation/personal days per year, and a 40-hour workweek (nobody should be living at the office). It's not a work-from-home position.
Entry level candidates -- $65k to $70k per year, plus bonuses for generating work and discretionary bonuses.
Experienced candidates -- $80k to $90k per year, plus bonuses for generating work and discretionary bonuses.
Cover letters should include exactly why you want to do this kind of work. General cover letters will not be considered.
