We are seeking an Associate Director, Global Marketing – Yescarta to join our cell therapy global marketing team. This key role has primary responsibility for ensuring global market readiness and brand optimization to support Yescarta to reach its fullest potential in DLBCL. You will work in close collaboration with the country marketing leads as well as key cross functional partners in global market access, HEOR, global medical affairs and regulatory affairs to ensure world market penetration of Yescarta in DLBCL. The role reports into the Director Global Marketing - Yescarta Global Launch Lead and is based in Santa Monica - CA.
Key Responsibilities
Implement the global Yescarta strategy across DLBCL indications, including positioning, messaging, and core creative in alignment with franchise positioning
Work in close collaboration with a global cross-functional team to ensure optimal global commercialization for each indication
Partner with the competitive intelligence team to monitor the CAR T and disease area competitive environment to develop insights and identify opportunities and threats to brand strategy
Work in close collaboration with cross-functional partners to develop, align and execute on brand strategy
Lead the global-affiliate marketing forums to facilitate the sharing of key learnings across global launches and marketing best practices
Partner with global and regional marketing leads to develop and execute the tactical plan aligned with global strategy to maximize the potential of the asset globally
Partner with marketing, legal, regulatory, and medical affairs leads to ensure consensus on the implementation of the strategic plan, in a business conduct compliant manner
Develop internal and external customer relationships that successfully drive business objectives
Collaborate with a cross functional team assisting in the development of global strategy and leading the implementation of tactics to optimize the brand globally
Develop relationships with key external stakeholders in Lymphoma and CAR T
Basic Qualifications
Advanced scientific degree (i.e., MD, PharmD, PhD) and 2 years of experience OR
Master’s Degree and 8 years of experience OR
Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience OR
High School Degree and 14 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science or marketing. Postgraduate degree (ideally PharmD, MD, Biology PhD)
5 years of experience in a marketing role at specialty-focused pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies
Good understanding of the hematology / oncology clinical landscape. Experience in cell therapy is a plus
Demonstrated ability to understand and integrate market dynamics into the global strategy and global tactical plans
Strong leadership skills and comfort in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work with a team in a complex business structure and possesses scientific and clinical acumen to deliver marketing plans and tactics and achieve brand performance
Demonstrated ability to coordinate with regional and local market teams to collect market inputs for incorporation into global strategy and global tactical plans
Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work as a part of a team, but also be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail
Ability to engage with, achieve results through and motivate affiliate brand team marketers
Experience working at both a global or affiliate/regional marketing level, achieving success with both strategic development and tactical implementation
