Team Description:
Kitware, Inc. is actively seeking Computer Vision Co-Op Interns to join our Computer Vision Team at our Clifton Park, NY headquarters. This is a 6 month internship but has the potential to extend to 8 months. Kitware’s Computer Vision team is a leader in the creation of cutting-edge algorithms and software for automated image and video analysis. Our solutions embrace deep learning and add measurable value to government agencies, commercial organizations, and academic institutions worldwide. We understand the difficulties in extracting, interpreting, and utilizing information across images, video, metadata, and text, and we recognize the need for robust, affordable solutions. We seek to advance the fields of computer vision and deep learning through research and development and through collaborative projects that build on our open source software platforms, such as Kitware Image and Video Exploitation and Retrieval (KWIVER) toolkit.
About the Projects:
The Computer Vision Group is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of world class experts in computer vision, deep learning, machine learning and software engineering. We do a lot of development in C and Python with some Javascript for web clients. We use OpenCV, ROS, Boost, Postgres, Caffe, Theano, VXL and many other open source tools. Kitware develops CMake, VTK, ParaView, ITK, KWIVER and a number of other open-source toolkits.
This is an opportunity to gain experience while contributing to high level complex problems related to Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
