Function:
To assist the classroom teacher and building administrator in supporting the educational needs of students with diverse learning needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist teacher in instructional setting with instruction and clasroom management. Organize and manage students work under teacher direction.
Assist teachers in recording students work and progress.
Work directly with students with diverse needs, including health and safety protocols.
Implement planned activities using teacher designed methods and materials for individual and small groups for instructional support, including those with special needs.
Supervise a variety of student activities including cafeteria, bus loading and unloading, field trips, hallways and other areas where students gather.
Prepare and provide clerical support to teacher for instructional materials using various office equipment, resource materials, and AV equipment, copying, faxing, etc.
Maintain accurate records and gathers information within the scope of District policies and state and federal laws.
Communicate effectively with teachers.
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment; High school diploma/equivalent;
Experience working with children.
Schedule:
6.5 Hours per day/ 32.5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
$15.60 Per hour
