Position: Career Advisor
About Us:
Klamath Works is a local non-profit organization committed to providing comprehensive work training programs. We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual to ensure our participants receive exceptional support.
Role Overview:
As an Employment Advisor within our vibrant team, you will be responsible for coordinating pre-employment training, internships, job placements, and community services for our program participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intakes and gather eligibility documents from interested parties, providing tailored career, individualized, and employment services.
- Maintain accurate records of services delivered using a computer-based management system.
- Develop Individual Employment Plans and Individual Service Strategies based on participant needs by identifying barriers to employment through assessments.
- Guide participants in enrolling for education and training opportunities leading to employment.
- Monitor participant progress, providing counseling, mentoring, and sharing resources as required.
- Ensure high participant outcome levels to meet performance measures.
- Track and report workforce activities
- Offer ongoing support for 12 months post-placement, including mentoring and retention services.
- Collaborate with training providers and partner agencies to refer participants for appropriate services.
- Understand and adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in performing job responsibilities.
- Prepare financial vouchers and agreements for payments to service providers.
- Fulfill other duties as directed by management.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with adult unemployed or underemployed individuals.
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Online Data Management programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity promotion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate program benefits effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong team player with exceptional organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
