Job Description
Kleinfelder is looking to add a GIS Specialist to our growing team. The ideal candidate would work out of one of our Pennsylvania offices supporting environmental and construction related work that includes environmental assessment / remediation and natural resources planning including delineation data processing, thematic map production, and data deliverables.
This candidate will be responsible for developing GIS mapping, managing large datasets, data analytics, graphics development.
Daily workflows will include transforming existing information, GPS field data, and other data resources into working documents using ESRI's ArcGIS Pro software, completing assignments requiring knowledge of GIS techniques, and reviewing maps, drawings, and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
The candidate shall:
- Prepare GIS deliverable products to support internal and external clients.
- Demonstrate knowledge in principles of geography/cartography, including coordinate systems and projections, visual hierarchy, geo-processing tools, georeferencing, raster datasets, and symbology.
- Have experience in geospatial analysis, data management, and data conversion using ESRI's ArcGIS Pro software.
- Evaluate data from various sources to ensure quality and accurate representation. Manage data in a concise manner with an awareness of nomenclature, folder structure, and data schemas.

Experience & Academic Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, a related field including courses in GIS or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience fulfilling the job expectations outlined above, in a business environment; education/internships will not be considered as experience. Prefernce given to candidates with previous consulting experience.
