Kline Electric is looking for a Waterloo Branch Manager.
General Function:
The Branch Manager shall be the top position at the Branch and will be responsible for the overall operation of the branch location under his or her authority.
Reporting:
Reports to: Vice President of Kline Electric
Direct Reports: Project Managers, Estimators and all subordinates.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support and actively seek to engage in and grow the Kline Electric culture and promote and instill the Company Core Values in all employees
2. Oversee the financial health and decisions of the branch
3. Manage operations of the branch location, including conversing with Project Managers on determination of hiring needs
4. Keep on top of project progress and work to resolve any problems that arise
5. Develop and grow client relationships
6. Train and mentor staff in sound business practices
7. Take part in performance reviews of Managers and staff
8. Ensure the participation in Traction, including direct involvement in goal setting, ensuring success in the goals, and determining cause of failures in reaching goals and incorporate corrective actions to reach the goals
9. Stay on top of estimates and awarded jobs and make recommendations based on performance
10. Report to the Executive group on branch performance, positives, and negatives
11. Propose annual operating budgets to the Executive Group.
12. Manage significant purchases and purchase planning with the CFO
13. Coordinate facilities rentals and purchases with the Operations Manager
14. Coordinate with Human Resources and Safety to ensure compliance and to handle hiring and employee issues
15. Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Vice President, President or the Executive Group
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Branch Manager has responsibility over all personnel that report to the Waterloo office. This position has the authority to handle all manpower functions, hiring, and terminations in conjunction with Human Resources as outlined in company policy.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Current State of Iowa Class A Journeyman Licenses.
· Minimum of 10 years management experience in the electrical construction field with progressive roles of responsibility
· General working knowledge of all departments running in the branch
