Job Summary/Description:

KMVT, the Gray owned CBS affiliate in Twin Falls Idaho is looking for a Multi Media Journalist. The successful candidate is a team player in the newsroom. The candidate must be comfortable with enterprising stories as an MMJ reporter. This candidate must be connected and comfortable with all platforms of broadcast journalism: TV, social, mobile and online.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Generating unique, compelling and innovative story ideas and content

• Excellent, creative presentation and writing skills a must

• Excellent use of social media for news gathering and community engagement

• Motivated and aggressive about enterprising stories

• Contribute to multiple platforms on a daily basis including writing for the web sites, posting on social media

• Develop contacts and relationships in the community

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Experience in college-level broadcast journalism training

• A college degree in broadcast journalism, or equivalent experience

• Video examples of on-air work

• Ability to lift and carry equipment including tripod, camera and lights

• Ability to work independently

• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record

• Be willing to work weekends, nights or any given shift

• Must be able to find enterprise news stories

• Must be able to work under deadlines

• Candidates should also exhibit a good work ethic, strong people skills, the ability to be a team player and must maintain a professional attitude at all times
