Position Overview:
Responsible for supporting our distributor network by effectively coordinating current and future distributor requirements within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining and servicing distributor accounts. Position acts as information resource for distributor accounts regarding delivery of product, product features, and pricing information.
- Works with distributors by processing and expediting orders, problem solving, providing delivery information, and resolving pricing questions.
- Work in conjunction with load coordinator to organize and configure distributor loads for shipping product.
- Coordinates with Truck Pool and Fleet Departments on shipments of product to distributor locations and installation facilities. Follows up on shipping discrepancies and provides resolution to those discrepancies.
- Analyzes and recommends inventory levels by models as needed. Follows and reports market trends for area of responsibility.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to learn the Knapheide Product line and assist customers with their requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers while paying close attention to detail
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem solving ability
- Must be able to prioritize workload by managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Must be a team player, self-starter and capable of gaining customer's confidence as their best supplier in handling their needs
- Customer first mentality
- Working knowledge of PC's including Excel and Word
- Associates degree or customer service related experience
Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:
Normal standing, walking and lifting in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting and telephone usage.
