Pay Rate:

Starts at $32.00/hour 

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour 

Perfect Attendance Bonus: $0.75/hour

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician at Knauf Insulation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, as well as performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to motors, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to restore equipment and systems to working order efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute planned preventive maintenance activities to reduce equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality.
• Electrical Work: Safely work with electrical systems, including wiring, controls, and electronic components, adhering to all safety regulations and standards.
• Mechanical Work: Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, such as gearboxes, bearings, belts, and pumps.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to address maintenance needs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and minimize downtime.
• Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License.
• Electrical and mechanical certifications/licenses are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Understanding of PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools up to 50LBS.
• Physical dexterity to work with small parts and hand tools.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
