Compliance Analyst

Overview

Our client is a prestigious firm with a strong track record of financial success, already ahead of 5 year growth projections.  With employee headcount more than quadrupling over the 10 last years, continued increase in revenues and headcount are forecasted to continue.  This role is open because our client is adding headcount.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the annual review and update of the Compliance Risk Assessment
• Create and update compliance testing procedures for each assigned compliance test including scope of the test, key business contacts, documentation to review, risk control self-assessments and transaction testing sampling
• Execution of assigned compliance testing in accordance with the testing procedures and schedule
• Including working with the business unit risk management on root cause and remediation of findings
• Track the findings through implementation of the remediation, and validating that the remediation plan fully mitigated the finding
• Perform monthly monitoring of first line of defense testing results reviewing for findings, trends, and effectiveness of root cause analysis and remediation plans implemented in the first line
• Validate all first line implementation and QA testing of federal and state regulatory changes
• Validates the remediation of all state and federal regulatory issues identified

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-6 years of experience in compliance, in mortgage banking a plus
• Strong understanding of regulatory processes, activities, and requirements of a mortgage servicing company
• Knowledge of compliance risk management concepts, frameworks, methods, and good governance practice
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with or strong ability to learn mortgage servicing computer systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
