What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paid Media Specialist position at Knock?
We’re looking for an upbeat and curious Growth Marketing Specialist to join the team here at Knock. As part of the Paid Acquisition team and larger Growth slingshot team, you’ll have a real, hands-on impact in our top-of-funnel initiatives, supporting the team on acquiring new customers and agents.
In this exciting new role, you’ll help manage our paid channels and media buys on a daily basis, and make incremental optimizations to take performance to the next level. The ultimate goal? Help the team exceed monthly KPIs, improve conversion rates, and reduce customer acquisition costs.
We’d love for you to bring:
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing one or a few different paid media channels (e.g., paid social, paid search, display, native, video, etc)
- Understanding of media platforms: knowledge of bidding, targeting, optimization capabilities; best practices; and iOS14 implications
- Strong interest in experiments: you’ve conducted A/B tests or are interested in learning
- An analytical mindset: you’re curious to explore data sets and form actionable insights.
- A self-starter attitude with a side of project management: you can work autonomously, handle multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of or use of tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Domo, Looker, HotJar, Optimizely, Unbounce, InstaPage, SEMRush, etc
- Have proven success working 100% remote in prior positions & are experienced working with a distributed, national team
- Education: High school or equivalent experience

As the Growth Marketing Specialist, you will:
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across multiple platforms including paid social, paid search, and other online/offline channels with the Growth Marketing Manager
- Own daily pacing of campaigns and measure how we’re tracking to our business targets (e.g., CPAs, CAC, etc) and performance targets (e.g., CTRs, CPCs, CPMs, CVRs, etc)
- Support optimization of funnel from first impression through loan application, including:
- Improving performance across levers such as budget, placement, audience, and creative, and website/app (user experience)
- Working closely with Content and Design to brainstorm new creative ideas for testing and bring them to fruition
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Analytics to support the implementation of martech, A/B tests, forecasting models, and data infrastructure
- Partner with UX research team to action statistically significant feedback from customers/agents that impacts advertising (e.g., ad visuals, messaging, etc)
- Seek new channels to expand brand awareness and cost-effective conversion
- Create decks for internal teams/leadership meetings that showcase current performance, blockers, and new opportunities for success
- Maintain knowledge of marketing industry best practices, new technologies, platform and algorithm updates, and help educate team members as needed
