The Craft Cocktail Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest quality of craft cocktails. This role involves managing staff, inventory, finances, and the overall atmosphere of the bar to create a unique and inviting experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bar environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage and handling of beverages and ingredients.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks.
Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.
Foster a positive team environment, providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss performance, updates, and new menu items.
Customer Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly.
Build relationships with regular customers and create a welcoming atmosphere for new guests.
Menu Development:
Develop and innovate the cocktail menu, focusing on craft cocktails using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Collaborate with the culinary team to create complementary food and drink pairings.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
Inventory and Financial Management:
Manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking stock.
Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste and loss.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, pricing, and sales analysis.
Implement cost control measures and optimize profitability.
Marketing and Promotion:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
Plan and execute bar events, promotions, and special nights.
Utilize social media and other marketing channels to promote the bar and its offerings.
Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure competitive rates and high-quality products.
Compliance:
Ensure the bar operates in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws, including liquor licensing and health regulations.
Maintain all necessary documentation and permits.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bar management role, preferably in a craft cocktail environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in hospitality management or mixology is a plus.
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, mixology, and bar operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in inventory and financial management.
Creativity and passion for developing unique cocktails and drink menus.
