ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Administers and monitors in-house paging system.
  • Takes and records residents’ apartment maintenance requests.
  • Accepts and distributes parcels, certified and registered mail.
  • Interacts as a communicative liaison between independent living, assisted living and Health Service Center/Special Care Center.
  • Monitors building access and security cameras.
  • Distributes work requests to engineering, environmental services, telecommunications, and security departments.
  • Maintains log book, registries, and other front desk related files.
  •  
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other general information.
  •  
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.  Checks guests in and for guest rooms which includes giving them keys and directions to the room as well as requesting them to sign the reservation form.

  • Monitors visitor access.

  • Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.

  • Maintains and oversees resident fitness studio, storage room, pool, chapel, Our Little Store keys.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related experience and/or training. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform general mathematical equations inclusive of addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication, and division. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and postage.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
