Job description
CNC Machine Operator: The operation of an electrically powered industrial machine to create, shape, and customize steel into a variety of forms as directed through the interpretation of detailed blueprints/drawings. Includes maintenance of the machine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading of materials (steel) onto machine
- Reading, understanding, and utilizing blueprints/drawings
- Set up of machine to achieve blueprint requirements
- Operate machine in most efficient manner while adhering to all tolerance
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintaining an acceptable working relationship with co-workers
- Regular attendance and punctuality
SKILLS
- Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Clear understanding of machine blueprints and symbols
- Mechanically inclined
EXPERIENCE
- Required: Previous operation of similar type of machines
- Preferred: Ability to troubleshoot machine
