Parts Shipping and Receiving/ Parts Delivery

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate parts inventory and assists the Parts department with routine audits, parts organization and tracking. The Shipping & Receiving clerk ships, delivers, and receives parts orders.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and distribute all incoming orders; immediately notify parts manager of damaged parts or shortages.
• Determine best method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Compare information such as counts, weights, or measures on items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, or other records.
• Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments; process paperwork and packing slips.
• Maintain parts inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing bins, binning new parts and recording the location, conducting perpetual bin audits, and maintain special order bins
• Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled, change bin locations on parts when moving from one location to another, bin locate and label new parts into Department.
• Assist in Physical Parts Inventory annually.
• As dictated by deadlines; count, package and ship stock buybacks, claims, cores and warranty returns.
• Keep the parts department free of hazards including boxes, parts, spills or debris.
• Provide delivery service of orders using parts truck.
• Pick up and deliver parts & equipment from wholesalers and dealers

This position is full time, day shift. We are looking for candidates who have a strong attention to detail and are willing to work hard to make sure the team succeeds.

Requirements

• Automotive parts experience is a plus
• Previous shipping and receiving experience is required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
• Working knowledge of computers
• Trustworthy, dependable and reliable
• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Must have a clean driving record according to dealership standards
