Complex HACCP Coordinator Job Summary : The Food Safety Manager / HACCP Coordinator is primarily responsible for
providing technical support and guidance in the areas of HACCP, Food Safety and NPIS. Primary Duties & Responsibilities : Supervise, manage and direct department team members, ensuring adherence to safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance* Provide weekly update to Complex Manager, Plant Manager, QA Manager and Assistant Plant Manager on results, actions, etc.
Under direction of QA Manager, write and administer HACCP and NPIS programs, updating and revising when necessary* Under direction of QA Manager, write, update and revise SOPs and SSOPs* Verify documented corrective and preventive measures for SSOP, HACCP and NPIS programs, ensuring intention of regulatory requirements are met* Interact on behalf of company with USDA personnel on regulatory and food safety issues* Assist with annual HACCP / Food Safety / NPIS training* Support, train and act as subject matter expert ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance, while producing quality products* Educate and coach regarding Food Safety Programs, HACCP, SOPs and SSOPs* Lead preparation, and assist QA Manager with 3rd party audits (i.
e.
