Your Job Koch Minerals & Trading is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Rail Scheduler (Transportation Planning Specialist) to join our fast-paced transportation capability.

The successful candidate will own / manage the scheduling of product shipments to meet short-term and long-term off-take agreements.

This role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. It will require a successful candidate that is a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.

Our Team The role reports to the General Manager, Distribution and Logistics and is based at the Wichita, KS office Monday - Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. What You Will Do

• Responsible to plan and communicate weekly & monthly loading schedules to ensure timely, reliable and cost-efficient loading and transportation of bulk commodities, to meet or exceed the expectations of suppliers, customers and carriers
• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, via trail or truck, to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Utilize railway management systems and related software to track and monitor train movements, maintain accurate records, and generate reports.
• Working to ensure that accurate freight accruals and shipment weights are recorded
• Building relationships with the marketing and sales teams, as well as external customers, suppliers, carriers and terminals Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Experience partnering with internal teams or external customers
• Experience working with multiple detailed, time sensitive tasks
• Experience with Microsoft office including Excel experience with spreadsheet formulation and analysis What Will Put You Ahead
• Bachelor's degree or higher
