The jobsite in Baytown, TX is looking for a Boilermaker. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Perform routine corrective and preventative maintenance on refinery fixed equipment
• Perform non-routine work as required including shutdown, turnaround, and startup activities
• Must respond to callouts when scheduled
• Perform equipment repairs as planned and scheduled per applicable OPD procedures and standards
• Provide accurate and timely feedback on daily work schedule
• Work in Compliance with OPD's policies and practices related to Environmental, Health, and Safety

Some physical demands of being a laborer include:

• Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
• Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
• Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day. Breaks are given in 2.5 hour intervals
• Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work on elevated platforms and maintain balance when stepping on narrow platforms such as beams and pipes. Must be able to perform these activities while wearing an approved full-body harness and lanyard.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

Basic Requirements: 

• 3 years of work experience in ONE of the following crafts: Boilermaker, Pipefitter, Pipe Welder (includes SMAW & GTAW), Valve Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Operator (Crane)

What Will Put You Ahead

Preferred Requirements:  

• Ability to read piping ISO’s, P&ID’s, piping specs
• 5 years’ work experience as a Boilermaker, Pipefitting, Pipe Welder (CS, SS, Chrome) or Heavy Equipment Operator (15 ton and up Crane)
• NCCER certification Pipefitting, Boilermaker, Certified Pipe Welder or NCCER/NCCCO Heavy Equipment Operator
