Koch Minerals & Trading (KM&T) with offices in Geneva, London, Singapore, Houston, Wichita, and New York is engaged in global trading and risk management activities in crude oil, refined petroleum products, metals and other commodities. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain gasoline-specific knowledge systems such as SnD balances, ship tracking, arbitrage netbacks, and blend calculations that can be relied upon in making trading decisions
- Model commodity data for specific markets and produce ad hoc analysis based on short-term market developments
- Challenge traders when POV wavers from analysis and expect to be challenged on your own analysis in return
- Communicate with other internal Koch teams and external market participants to constantly evaluate assumptions and improve data quality
- Identify market regimes, predict changes in flows and quality, and highlight changing incentives
- Develop and expand analytics tools and processes while staying on top of market research and developments
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors degree
- Industry specific analytical experience
- Experience with business analytics systems for modeling, analyzing and visualizing data
- Intermediate to advanced experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Power BI, Excel - spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data analysis/manipulation and formula creation, etc.)
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
Established analytical experience and industry contacts within the Gasoline market
- Experience developing strategic, data-based recommendations
- Gasoline-specific experience from a previous role in trading/refining/analysis/mid- or back-office
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering
