We're looking to add a Lead Time Planner to our dynamic team in Lisle!
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Responsible for the process of ensuring that the published customer lead times support the product strategy outlined by the Product Manager and that actual lead times match those given to the customer
- Collaborate with Product Management to align on Lead Time competitiveness in the market, understanding product strategy of published lead time to meet, beat or lag competition
- Evaluate financial tradeoffs of lead times (impacts on revenue/profitability/market share/customer satisfaction against cost to serve)
- Evaluate inventory risk of pre-positioning/excess build against loss of sales/customer
- Determine solution and associated costs to meet product strategy
- Collaborate with Product Management for approval of final customer lead time
- Collaborate with Sales to align on working with customers to set appropriate lead time expectations, terms and conditions and compliance
- Establish formal, repeatable process to assess existing items and define for new product introductions
- Consider a centralized capability using scalable analytics to support division led decision making process
- Utilize analytics to determine supply strategy and associated costs to meet product strategy
- Utilize demand planning outputs as an input to planning and execution processes
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-3 years working experience in supply chain, and/or inventory planning
What Will Put You Ahead
- Previous S&OP experience
- Expert level usage of Excel
