Koch Methanol St James is looking for a Maintenance and Reliability Leader for the Methanol plant located in St James, LA. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is seeking to work in a technologically advanced plant, leading and supporting reliability within the plant’s day to day operation. You will be a collaborative resource that provides and shares expertise of equipment, options to improve maintenance and operating practices, and opportunities to advance use of technology. You will be responsible for leading a high performing team working on numerous reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve desired results.

What You Will Do

• Provide overall leadership of the Maintenance and Reliability Team through effective coaching and mentorship to support their professional development and growth
• Responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to reduce cost and improve asset availability
• Engage fleet SMEs to leverage utilization of existing knowledge and future technology
• Ensure employees, including contractors, are performing their tasks safely, productively, and in full compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
• Interface with the Operations team to understand critical equipment issues and needs
• Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving daily problems
• Oversee and manage facility cost centers for maintenance & reliability spending
• Lead a team to schedule and execute maintenance activities for the plant to maximize availability of equipment and meet specific needs of the site
• Develop & support engineering capability in key disciplines of mechanical, instrument, electrical & rotating equipment
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 7 years of experience working in an operations or maintenance role in manufacturing, industrial or military environment
  
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• Equipment and/or manufacturing systems reliability experience
• 15 years of experience in operations or maintenance in chemical plant or refinery
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role
• Experience in maintenance or in craft support (i.e.: instrumentation & electrical, rotating equipment, fixed equipment, etc.)
