INVISTA is currently seeking a MES Systems Analyst for our manufacturing execution systems (MES) product team. This role will be responsible for partnering with our operations leadership and our sites to drive the advancement of modern applications and technologies to reduce complexity and to improve the MES user experience. What You Will Do
- This role has split responsibilities of strong analysis, requirement definition, solving problems, and software development of Manufacturing Execution processes (including but not limited t integration with process controls).
- Working with a team of engineers, analysts, process controls, operations, and vendors you will analyze business process to define business requirements and apply critical thinking to solve problems and develop creative solutions which meet or exceed operations strategies.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative on root cause analysis to drive improvement opportunities that enable self-serve, automation, stability, and scalability to reduce support and optimize our MES solutions. This includes on-call support for critical manufacturing systems.
- Apply economic thinking and communicate effectively to bring your ideas and solutions to business partners, IT teams, and leadership.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions for defects, enhancements, and transformation of our Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Document functional/technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and/or other documentation for support and ongoing optimization.
- Optimize agility and performance by leveraging modern development platforms like containerization and serverless computing.
- Contribute to product roadmap to achieve business and and strategic outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of our MES technologies.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (i.e. analysts, engineers, process controls, operations)
- Experience gathering business requirements from stakeholders
- Experience working in an agile team
- Experience in developing OR maintaining object -oriented programming languages OR API Integrations (i.e. SQL, Python, JavaScript, .NET, and C#)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL or alternative relational databases
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams and capabilities such as Process Controls (i.e. PLC, SCADA/HMI), Manufacturing Operations, and Infrastructure teams to solve complex problems.
What Will Put You Ahead
2 years experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (i.e. analysts, engineer, process controls, operations)
Experience in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery)
Experience in analyzing or developing in process controls (i.e. PLC, SCADA/HMI)
